Jamia Darussalam Oomerabad is one of the most valuable and significant Islamic Seminaries found in India. This Islamic Religious Institution was found in 1924 by Kaka Mohammad Oomer (1864-1927), a skin and hide merchant in Ommerabad. Oomerabad is a village Taluk Ambur in Tripattur, District Tamil Nadu India. It is only 8 km from the leather hub Ambur and well connected.
