Akhtarul Iman the State President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen wins Amour Assembly Seat on the ticket of AIMIM. We congratulate him and his supporters hoping that he would continue to work for Muslims in particular and the entire humanity at large.
It is relevant to mention here that in February 2013, when students were being asked to perform Yoga Asana of Surya Namaskar allegedly bowing down to Hindu Sun God Surya, Akhtarul Iman protested arguing that the government was trying to pave the path for the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and parted ways with Rashtriya Janta Dal and joined hands with the Janta Dal United. However, he withdrew in favor of Mohammad Asrarul Haque representing the Indian National Congress on the ground of not splitting the Muslim votes in 2015 Election in order to defeat the communal forces.
