Polarising, Abhorrent Tejasvi Surya known for anti-minority rhetoric

According to his website: Mr Tejasvi Surya, the Member of Parliament from Bengaluru South, is a young dynamic leader of just 28 years of age. An advocate by profession, Tejajsvi practices at the High Court of Karnataka, taking up issues of public and national importance. His dream of a prosperous, successful and powerful India has fueled all his endeavors and propelled him through the ranks in ABVP and Bhartiya Janta Party.

Tejasvi, an ardent follower of Swami Vivekananda, Dr BR Ambedkar and Veer Savarkar, is well read on history, religion, and spirituality. His deep reverence to Maa Bharati is perhaps what makes his intentions pure.

Right from his childhood days, Tejasvi took interest in serving the people. He took up leadership roles at the St Paul’s School in Belagavi and also served as the Head Boy at the Sri Kumaran Children’s Home in Bengaluru. He is a recipient of the Balaratna Award.

He built his profile at the National PU College in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, where he set up a social organization for the youth called Arise India. He took interest in public policy at the Bangalore Institute of Legal studies.

Recognizing his potential, the British, Israeli and Russian Embassies invited Tejasvi to their countries as part of the Young Political Leaders of India delegation. Tejasvi has a modern approach to decision making and problem solving and believes in the use of technology to solve some of the most nagging issues in governance.

Being an excellent orator, Tejasvi is highly sought for various public speaking events across India. He is immensely popular with the youth and has equally strong connections with the elderly.

Tejasvi has delivered important talks on various issues of national importance like National Security, Right to Education, Self Employment, Climate Change, Technology in Governance, Right to Data Privacy, Article 370, the Citizenship Bill among other things.

He has served under various roles writing the party for more than 7 years and has always delivered excellent results. He showed his exemplary leadership skills by successfully heading the Digital Communications Team for BJP Karnataka during the 2018 State Assembly Election.

As the General Secretary of the Karnataka State BJP Youth Wing, Tejasvi campaigned extensively for Shri Narendra Modi during the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls. Back in 2010, he was part of former Deputy Prime Minister Shri LK Advani’s 40-day Jan Chetna Yatra campaign against black money. His vision of a new India was recognized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, who have frequently lauded Tejasvi for his passion and commitment towards nation building.

As the MP from Bengaluru South, Tejasvi promises to pay heed to the problems facing the people of this prestigious constituency. He has planned a range of activities to make Bengaluru more lively city.
